What are they?
Two findings that need a clear plan.
A lung nodule is a small spot seen on a CT scan or chest X-ray, and most are benign. Bronchiectasis is a long-term widening of the airways that lets mucus build up and makes chest infections more likely. Both are usually found on imaging, and both need structured follow-up.
Lung nodules are often discovered by chance on a scan done for another reason. Whether a nodule needs monitoring, and how often, depends on its size, appearance and your risk factors, which is why a defined surveillance schedule matters.
Bronchiectasis can follow earlier infections or be linked to other conditions. The goal of treatment is to keep the airways clear and reduce flare-ups.

Symptoms
Signs and findings.
Lung nodules rarely cause symptoms and are usually found on imaging; bronchiectasis more often causes a daily cough with mucus and repeated chest infections.

Diagnosis
Imaging on a defined schedule.
Lung nodules and bronchiectasis are assessed with high-resolution CT, performed on-site at Medimprove, with follow-up scans scheduled at defined intervals and lung function testing to measure how the airways are working.
Having imaging and lung testing in the same building means follow-up visits are quicker and results can be compared side by side.

Treatment options
A plan for follow-up and airway care.
Care for lung nodules centres on surveillance imaging on the right schedule and referral when a nodule needs further evaluation; bronchiectasis care focuses on airway clearance, treating infections promptly and preventing flare-ups.
